Based on the smash-hit 1994 film, this heartwarming and hilarious musical tells the story of three friends who hop aboard a battered old bus, Priscilla, and head off on the adventure of a lifetime across the Australian outback. With a dazzling parade of more than 500 outrageous costumes, spectacular dance numbers, and a non-stop hit parade of dancefloor favourites like It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, Go West and Shake Your Groove Thing, this is a feel-good show bursting with fun, friendship and fabulousness.
Our adventure begins early as we head north, enjoying a relaxed BTAC morning tea at beautiful Wharewaka Point by the lakefront in Taupō. We’ll stop for lunch at the quirky township of Tīrau before arriving in Auckland mid-afternoon to check in at the stylish Waipuna Hotel in Mt Wellington. After a delicious in-house buffet dinner, we’ll make our way to The Civic for this spectacular evening of entertainment.
After a restful night and hearty breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take our time arriving back home late afternoon, with fabulous memories, full hearts, and a few new favourite songs in your head!
This promises to be a weekend full of laughter, music, and pure entertainment – a real tonic to brighten the tail end of winter.
