It’s been three years since our last day trip to visit our National Army Museum at Waiouru. It has housed the memorabilia of our military history since it opened in 1978. It’s an amazing collection, superbly displayed to tell our stories. You’re in for a wonderful day which starts with a drive over the ‘Gentle Annie’, stopping beforehand at Kuripapango for a cuppa. A delicious lunch on our arrival at the museum in the Mess Tent Cafe is followed by plenty of time to wander the museum itself. Our return journey on the same road always provides such stunning vistas. This is a fabulous day out visiting a very special place.
