Celebrate the arrival of spring with a delightful day exploring some of Central Hawke’s Bay’s most fascinating rural treasures.
Our day begins at the beautiful, historic Gwavas Homestead, where we’ll enjoy morning tea followed by an engaging tour and talk, learning about the history, gardens, and stories of this remarkable country estate.
From there, we’ll travel to Smedley Station, one of New Zealand’s best-known agricultural training farms. Enjoy a hearty country lunch before discovering the station’s rich heritage and the important role it continues to play in New Zealand farming.
To complete our spring adventure, we’ll visit Taniwha Daffodils, where fields of cheerful blooms create a stunning seasonal display. You’ll have the opportunity to pick your own bunch of fresh daffodils to take and brighten your home.
Combining history, rural life, beautiful gardens, spring flowers, and warm country hospitality, this promises to be a memorable day out in the Hawke’s Bay countryside.
