Late Spring is a great time to enjoy a drive on Hawke’s Bay’s country roads. Today we’ll spend time meandering the back roads of Central Hawke’s Bay in a more or less clockwise direction from Hastings. First out along the Tukituki Valley to Otane where we have morning tea at the new Henry’s Family Pies in the old library building. Then it’s out to the Flemington area south of Waipukurau, over through Hatuma to the Ashley Clinton district for a picnic lunch at A’Deane’s Bush. From here we drive through Argyll and Te Onepu to Maraekakaho, then back towards Hastings via Bridge Pa.
These districts will be bursting with late Spring colour and growth and on a drive like ours there’s no better place to be – sitting high up in the coach with a very different view than from a car. Book now to come along for the ride.
