Escape to the countryside for a relaxed day of rural hospitality, delicious food, and beautiful Hawke’s Bay scenery.
Join us as we pay an overdue visit to our friends Rachel and Greg Hart at Māngārara Station, a remarkable family-owned farm nestled in the rolling hills of Elsthorpe. During our visit, we’ll hear the inspiring story of how this working farm has evolved into a leading example of regenerative farming, environmental stewardship, and sustainable land management.
Following a guided tour and talk, we’ll settle in for a mouth-watering farmhouse BBQ lunch featuring Māngārara’s own premium beef, fresh salads, homemade sourdough bread, and a delicious homemade dessert. There will even be an opportunity to purchase farm-fresh meat to take home.
In the afternoon, we’ll continue to the beautiful Kairakau Beach, where you’ll have time to enjoy the spectacular coastal views. Combining fascinating stories, genuine country hospitality, outstanding local food, and stunning rural and coastal landscapes, this is a wonderful day out showcasing the very best of Hawke’s Bay.
