Back by popular demand – our magical midwinter escape to the Greytown Festival of Christmas returns for 2025! This tour was a hit last year, and we’ve added even more festive cheer for this year’s edition.
Day 1: We begin our festive weekend with a relaxing journey south and a stop for morning tea along the way. Then it’s on to Greytown for a special new highlight – the very first Mid-Winter House Tour. Step inside eight beautifully styled homes, each transformed with seasonal charm and festive flair. From cosy fireside settings to exquisite Christmas tablescapes, you’ll find plenty of inspiration and warmth as you wander through these inviting spaces. We’ll split up the house tour with lunch en-route followed by more time exploring the homes before checking in at the Copthorne Solway in Masterton. We’ll finish the day with a relaxed in-house dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast, we visit the tranquil Stablehouse Garden for a private tour and morning tea, followed by a festive three-course Christmas lunch at Tirohana Estate, complete with crackers and cheer. In the afternoon we pop into C’est Cheese before heading to the main event – the Greytown Festival of Christmas! Enjoy dazzling light projections, snow falling outside the Town Hall, the magical Light-Up Tractor & Truck Parade, and carols by candlelight. Choose from a range of food trucks for dinner and soak in the joyful atmosphere of this much-anticipated winter celebration.
Day 3: On our journey home, we visit The Christmas Heirloom Company for a dose of festive inspiration, enjoy a delicious lunch at Artisan Kitchen Café, and browse quality woollens and knitwear at New Zealand Natural Clothing in Norsewood before arriving back in the Bay.
