Join us for a 2 Day journey off the beaten track as we explore the scenic byways, hidden gems, and heartland charm of the central North Island’s countryside.
Our adventure begins driving up the coast to Wairoa, where we’ll enjoy morning tea at legendary Osler’s Bakery before winding through the lush, forested beauty of Te Urewera. We pause beside Lake Waikaremoana for a peaceful picnic lunch, then continue through remote country roads to Murupara for a mid-afternoon ice cream. Later, we arrive in Rotorua, where we’ll unwind at the Lakeside Novotel Hotel and share a relaxed buffet dinner together.
The following morning, enjoy breakfast at your leisure before we head to the serene Waikite Valley Thermal Pools for morning tea and a chance to enjoy a soak in the rejuvenating warm waters. Our return journey meanders over the back roads, with free time in Taupō for lunch, before heading home full of stories, smiles, and fresh country air.
