For more than 150 years the Hawke’s Bay Club has provided a haven for its members and for most of that time it has been at its current location in a pristine white, purpose-built Edwardian building on the corner of Browning St and Marine Parade.
Until 2022, it was a bastion of male exclusivity but in recent times even these hallowed halls have moved into the 21st century – albeit at glacial pace. One constant that still remains is the standard of the Club’s dining room and we have been invited to take lunch in these cloistered surroundings. Come and experience what was, for so very long, off-limits to non-members.
